Location

Located in an AONB (Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty) on the coast of South West of Devon, Bigbury Golf Club lives up to the area's reputation.

A multi-award winning, GolfMark accredited Top 100 course located in the South Hams. With breathtaking 360° scenery including the majestic rocky seascapes, Avon estuary, Moorlands and the world famous Burgh Island… you won't leave disappointed.

The Course

Bigbury has been providing a challenge for golfers of all abilities since 1923. Today, its 18 holes total 6,011 yards (white), 5854 yards (yellow) for men, 5,518 (red) for ladies.

Par is 70 and 72 strokes respectively.

Our Slope Rating is 127 with a Course Rating of 70.0 for White, 69.1 for Yellow and 72.5 for Red.

The fairways are wide and the greens fast, but club selection is complicated by sea winds and by well placed trees and bunkers.

Practice Facilities

You can practice your putting on a dedicated green, your short game in the chipping zone and your long game on the full length practice ground.

Dress Code

Like other golf clubs, we are happy with smart casual wear.
If the style of clothing / shoes can be bought in the Pro Shop then they may be worn on the course. Although we allow smart denim jeans in the Clubhouse, we do not allow them on the golf course. In the Clubhouse please do not wear golf shoes, general beach wear, tee shirts and non-golf sportswear ie rugby shirts, jogging suits etc.

Eat & Drink @ the 19th

The picture windows of Bigbury's large Clubhouse lounge make the most of its sea views, with a full-length patio offering the opportunity to sit outside in warmer weather. Our bar has various draft beer options as well as a selection of spirits, wine, soft drinks, tea and coffee.  The Clubhouse menu is available from morning to late afternoon.  Using fresh local ingredients, we serve a hearty Full English breakfast, hot and cold lunches and delicious homemade cakes. To view our menu please click here.

There are comprehensive ladies and gentlemen's locker-room facilities and a surfaced car-parking for in excess of 100 cars.
